VIVOBAREFOOT is an innovative brand that has adopted a radically different approach to footwear. The footwear products have been designed as close to a barefoot as possible, thereby connecting consumers with the Earth, enabling them to feel the ground beneath.

Founded in 2012, by Galahad and Asher Clark, VIVOBAREFOOT has embarked on a mission to liberate feet from the constraints of conventional shoes and encourage a return to the primal, unshod instincts.

VIVOBAREFOOT embraces environmental sustainability and makes use of lifecycle analysis to improve design, material selection, and manufacturing processes. VIVOBAREFOOT is committed to using leather sourced from free-roaming cattle and sustainably tanned hides, reducing the brand’s reliance on water and chemicals.

Additionally, the brand prioritizes the use of recycled PET and rubber compounds, allowing VIVOBAREFOOT to decrease their consumption of virgin materials. Every year more than 24 billion pairs of shoes are produced, with over 90% ending up in the landfill, often within the first 12 months of purchase. To reduce the environmental impact caused by this, VIVOBAREFOOT launched a recommerce platform ReVivo.

 

Since its launch, which was in 2020, VIVOBAREFOOT has repaired 31,000 pairs of Vivos, of which 19,000 has found new feet through ReVivo. The ReVivo community is growing adding further to the sustainability efforts of VIVOBAREFOOT.
