What is Mindful Chef?

Mindful Chef aims to make healthy eating easy. Delivering award winning recipe boxes with pre measured ingredients from mindfully selected suppliers. 

Mindful always has, and always will hold an ethical approach to food. Free Range chicken, grass-fed beef and sustainable fish, Mindful Chef work along side farmers to encourage biodiversity and healthy soil projects.

Every meal bought is a meal for a school child in need as well. 15,000,000 meals donated and growing.

Environmental Development

An early adopter and supporter of the B Corp movement, Mindful Chef didn’t stand still. Going through recertification Mindful achieved a score of 107.3 putting them in the top 3% globally for the market. 

Mindful are already a carbon neutral company since 2020 and hold a target to be net zero by 2030. Net zero covers the entire supply chain from Farm, to distribution to customers to waste. An ambitious goal with intent. 

Mindful Chef work with Soil Heroes and their suppliers to progress transformative programs in restoration of natural habitats, water retention, healthier crops and natural carbon storage.

Giving back

Along side excess donations, Mindful have partnered with One Feeds Two to ensure that for all 15,000,000 meals sold, 15,000,000 meals have been donated to children in poverty since 2017.

The Felix Project partnership has seen 160,000 meals go to the homeless. Over 25 tonnes of quality food has been gifted to food banks through the Reverse Advent Calendar project.

Further to this, 300,000 discounted meals went to NHS staff and 165 liters of rubbish were collected a part of the Big Clean Up.

Science Based Targets Initiative

Mindful have a transparent and ambitious 2030 target for Net Zero, as well as commitments to continued ethically sourced produce. Mindful are invested in the activities their supply chain must make to achieve the 2030 goals, and are actively supporting. 

At this point, Mindful Chef haven’t subscribed to SBTi though. This was discussed in the 2020 sustainability report but has not currently been actioned, publicaly at least.
