As one of the highest ranked B Corps in the UK, Riverford have much to be proud of.

Amongst the highlight are the forming of The Riverford Planet Fund, which they seeded with £1,800,000 to get started. With the planet at the heart of their business, Riverford are supporting sustainable methods of farming and food production, Eliminating CO2 emissions, developing local communities and engaging with bio diversity projects.

As a farm, Riverford are susceptible to wastage. In an effort of off set this, Riverford donated 77 tonnes of surplus organic fruit and veg to charities and foodbanks. 

All “Owners” or staff, as the staff are all part owners of the business, take part in free volunteering days across the year. Projects supported include Tree and hedge planting in increase habitats for wildlife, bat, Reptile and dormouse surveys and beekeeping. 

Riverfords biodiversity actions plans are putting a direct focus on supporting wildlife alongside food production.
